You neatly ignored the questions I asked you a few hours ago in this thread (five posts up from this one) in order to continue with your misrepresentation, so here it is again: How many people have Antifa's members killed? And how does the number they killed (I think it adds up to zero, but correct me if I am wrong.) compare to the fascists [ETA: white supremacists and far-right nationalists] since one of them drove his car through a crowd of non-violent protestors in Charlottesville?

If I understand the Charlottesville story correctly, a woman died. I don't know if Antifa is accused of killings. I remember them firebombing the ICE facility (no injuries) and them masking and fighting some pretty bad battles.

They could go on carefully stopping at assault forever, I still wouldn't support them for violence against words.

Answer: In comparison to the number of people killed by white supremacists and more generally right-wing extremists antifascists are harmless.

A 2019 report found that in 2018 50 people in the United States were killed in murders by domestic extremists (including both ideologically and non-ideologically motivated homicides). Of these killings, 78% were perpetrated by white supremacists, 16% by anti-government extremists, 4% by "incel" extremists, and 2% by domestic Islamist extremists. Over the broader 2009 to 2018 time period, there were a total of 313 people in the United States killed by right-wing extremists (including both ideologically and non-ideologically motivated homicides), of which 76% were committed by white supremacists, 19% by anti-government extremists (including those affiliated with the militia, "sovereign citizen," tax protester, and "Patriot" movements), 3% by "incel" extremists, 1% by anti-abortion extremists, and 1% by other right-wing extremists.

To begin with, let me disabuse you of your notion that I like Antifa. I have justified their actions. The two things are not the same.

As for trying to make you like Antifa, that is not my intention. I do want you to stop whitewashing members of the alt-right as innocent freedom fighters while simultaneously labelling Antifa's members as violent terrorists. Members of the alt-right, regardless of whether they personally engage in violence or not, need to be suppressed. You cannot talk to them, show them the error of their ways to the best of your ability, challenge their ideas, change thought and provoke change by intelligent debate. Physical restraint is the only option. Get the fuckers off the streets. And it works, as the alt-right demonstrations that the fascists themselves called off, and the ones in which they huddled together in fear and asked for police protection indicate. They don't get intelligent debate, but they do understand a punch in the face.

I'd have a lot less trouble doubting the sincerity of your opposition to violence if it were proportionally targeted at those who perpetrate it, especially so in proportion to the cost of lives caused by such violence. You do keep banging the drum about those masked antifascists ad nauseam, but I can't readily recall you expressing distaste about violence when people shoot up a black congregations praying in their churches, Muslim congregations praying in their mosques, visitors to abortion clinics or any other of the hundreds of murders perpetrated by white racists and other right wing extremists.
