Seems like the world is being run by an increasingly desperate collection of wannabe bond villains!

DOJ is tyrannical. At least under Biden.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) accused Republicans who voted against censuring Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) of hiding “behind excuses,” while launching several personal insults at the opposing members in a series of tweets Thursday, the latest spat to showcase Greene’s falling out with the far-right.

She also accused [Rep. Chip] Roy of wanting to keep “CNN wannabe Ken Buck,” the Colorado Republican House member who announced his retirement Wednesday, and “vaping groping Lauren Boebert” in the Freedom Caucus, referring to an incident at a Denver theater in September when Boebert was kicked out of a Beetlejuice performance and caught on surveillance camera vaping and suggestively grabbing her date. Greene also went after Republicans for failing to impeach Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, doing “nothing” to stop the first impeachment of former President Donald Trump and preventing the DOJ from becoming “the very tyrannical government our founding fathers warned us about.”

Other message board:
Greene’s rise appears to have started in February (2019) when she livestreamed various encounters on Facebook. She uses a cheery persona and smiles to sugarcoat a message of intolerance toward different targets – all based on the opportunity for publicity. In a two-day span that month, Greene accused U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters of “inciting violence against MAGA patriots,” touted a petition to impeach House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and accused Rep. Ilhan Omar of marrying her brother so he could gain U.S. citizenship.

In all cases, the videos resulted in a spike in online interest in Greene and her anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim musings.
Although planning to run in Georgia's 6th Congressional District, she instead relocated to the heavily Republican 14th District in late 2019 after the incumbent announced he would not seek reelection. She won the 2020 Republican Party primary but failed to gain a majority. She won the faceoff primary against the next highest vote getter with 57% of the vote. She scored a landslide victory over her Democratic opponent -- who'd withdrawn from the race by Election Day -- in the November election. She won reelection in 2022 though she did not do as well as in the previous election.

Looking at local media, I get the impression that though greene obviously has a lot of local support, she is also very polarizing. Local media have criticized her for failing to adequately represent the people of her district. One issue had to do with securing funding support for a local medical center -- in a part of her district with very few medical facilities -- which greene seemed to largely ignore.

It's only conspiracy theorists left at this point Tero, and nobody's equipped to help people once they've accepted two or three of those.

Biden not guilty for misplaced documents because he does not remember being VP.

On Wednesday, Missouri state Sen. Mike Moon (R-Ash Grove) introduced an amendment to state law which would permanently bar women from accessing Medicaid benefits if they have received an abortion in their lifetime.
https://heartlandsignal.com/2024/02/08/ ... -abortion/
Moon’s currently unnamed amendment preceded the Missouri GOP declining to adopt rape and incest exceptions to the state’s near-total abortion ban on Friday. These exceptions were introduced by Democrats in response to a Republican attempt to remove Medicaid funds for Planned Parenthood clinics. Under current law, Missouri does not allow abortion in any case unless there is a “medical emergency.”

Listened to his press conference. He can barely speak. Hell be 86 at the end of next term. It's ridiculous. Can't believe they are running with him.

And Republicans are going to make hay with this judge's reasoning for his ruling. Old man who can't remember stuff. And you want that as president?

Fortunately, the general public's attention span is relatively short.

Yeah, he does does much better at prepared speeches. Get ready for another Reagan, folks. Well, that was worse, as he was in fact demented. Biden's problem is mostly verbal. reagan...we were getting Nancy Reagan's prsychic deciding things the last few months.

Apparently the Senate needs to entertain them for a couple of hours some day soon.
