The Iris comedian Dave Allen told a joke which goes something like this:

"An old lady was attending a meeting with a fervent Northern Ireland protestant preacher, who was ranting about the end times, when Christ came again to punish the unbelievers and catholics. The preacher said the line "there will be a great wailing and gnashing of teeth"

The old lady raised her hand, and said "What about those folk who have lost their teeth"

The preacher replied, with eyes flashing and venom in his speech:

"Teeth will be provided!"
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

There's been no decent wailing since Bob Marley died.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

'T was a lot more exciting before Marley had even been born.

Oh more exciting yeah, no doubt.
I'm talking about the quality of the wailing.

But people should be aware that gnashing your teeth is bad for them, and could result in accelerated wear to the enamel.
It's probably best to concentrate on the wailing, and give the gnashing a miss.

Mind you, I've never seen anyone gnash their teeth, so I don't get why some people call them gnashers.
