I think facebook, twitter and youtube are taking anti-fascist action against violence-inciting hate speech.

Yup. They'll be as fair as any of you, but better, because they are more powerful.

Good thing those wealthy tech platform owners have our best interests at heart.
How many forum members do you think share that opinion?

No, a lot less that that, Ani... :tea:
Will you ever learn, Jimbo? It's "fewer". Fewer.

So you talk about mobs and the working classes as if they were the question. You've got that eternal idiotic idea that if anarchy came it would come from the poor. Why should it? The poor have been rebels, but they have never been anarchists; they have more interest than anyone else in there being some decent government. The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all. Aristocrats were always anarchists. - G.K. Chesterton

You are, of course, correct. I should make less fewer mistakes like that...

So you keep saying. Facebook, Twitter and Youtube do not give a fuck about free speech. Why should they? None of them were founded to destroy or protect it. They were started to make money. That's free enterprise for you.

They know the way the wind blows. I'm sure that, if not for public opinion telling them they need to be seen doing something, they would not have taken the action against Trump. People are speaking about more robust controls, but they will drag their feet, and, as Hermit alludes to, will follow the path that leads to the maximum dollar return with the minimum of backlash or political issues...

Oh, that's just a totally normal thing the Joint Chiefs have do with both Republicans and Democrats because, you know, both sides are totally the same and equally deranged, and stuff. :prof:

Was a 'disinformation officer' retired from US military at the party? The woman shot was a vet, and I've heard that other retired officers had been either charged or detained.

The source is as sketchy as any, but if it runs counter to some line important to Hermit, I am confident we'll all know right away.

Rainey said she led 100 members of Moore County Citizens for Freedom, which describes itself online as a non-partisan network promoting conservative values, to Washington to “stand against election fraud” and support Trump. She said the group attended the rally but she didn’t know of anyone who entered the Capitol and that they were headed back to their buses hours before an emergency curfew took effect.

Rainey, 30, is assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group at Fort Bragg, according to Maj Daniel Lessard, a spokesman for 1st Special Forces Command. Known as Psyops, the group uses information and misinformation to shape the emotions, decision-making and actions of American adversaries.

Are you claiming that then presence of some retired US military in the insurgent group was proof of their righteousness?

No - honestly claiming nothing. There were bound to be lots of retired from every field. Big crowd.

When I first heard the brief description, I thought it was pretty weird. She sounds like a genuine Trump supporter. If she carries the normal knowledge of a Captain, and was honest about having notified her boss, then it sounds like just a coincidence.

But fuck...

This one wasn't even retired. 4th Psychological Operations Group. Has a documented alibi, showing she DID go, but left peacefully, right on schedule.

Not suspicious a wee bit?
