That's quirky.

Very dexterous. I have trouble with a UK keyboard. Things are just in the wrong place. I use the double key option for é è ë. Handy in Dutch.

Most of the test computers are using the English keyboard layout. Many of the testers do not speak German. No chance to change the layout when analysing stuff or doing some tests.

Well....

I tried the English version a few months ago. Weird. The menus are not exactly the same. Do you use German or English and a Qwerty key board. I cant use a French keyboard as it drives me mad as I half touch type.
I use mostly an azerty French keyboard, or course, but I guess I might adapt to qwerty without too much difficulty, as I watch what my fingers do.

No an azerty keyboard drives me nuts. I am not fully a touch typist but my fingers wonder to the right key. It could also be my age. Thank goodness keyboards are virtually silent. The old IBM keyboards were built like the rest of IBM gear brick shithouses. Almost indestructible but the noise.

I tend to pound the keys more than most people, I think...

I shared a room in the office with a guy who broke keyboards by hitting them too hard.

That was not only his problem. He used to play reli-rock. I asked not to but he insisted so we came up with a compromise (true Dutch); I would not smoke in room (it was perfectly legal then), he would not play his music and we would not talk about religion. Peace returned except for his keyboard thumping. At the next annual assessment I asked for a change of room and I ended up with a female colleague who was a doctor in mathematics. Great two years was that.
