Galaxian frequently mixes arguments with some evidence and logical basis in with his woo. It certainly can be argued that there is a biological component to the differences in psychology of men and women. However, even given that there are, it would be an example of the naturalistic fallacy to argue that this should control public policy on areas such as discrimination.

Given that there are, public policy which discriminates would NEED to take that into account on occasion.

I'm all for forcing government to stop asking a citizens sex when it is unnecessary, but I'm also in favour of letting people discriminate.

Someone who identifies as a drag queen is a drag queen. Gender expression is different than gender identity. So, anyone who would not let a make-up free drag queen with short hair and dressed in a Joseph A. Bank suit participate in a burlesque show is a transphobe. It's tantamount to violence.

The straw man that he is erecting is the conservative view that people who want a better deal for women in general allegedly think that there are simply zero intrinsic differences (apart from the surface biology) between men and women, and that all psychological differences are purely down to socialisation (i.e. indoctrination by the patriarchy). While there are some on the rigid academic left that will assert that dogmatically, most thinking people who want improvements in the general way women are treated either don't believe that in an absolutist way, or regard it as irrelevant to the issues they're confronting, and base their arguments on justice and fairness rather than the naturalistic fallacy.

So why generalize the gender pay gap, and wave it around like it means something, in a world where men and women ARE different, it stands to reason that they would each be exploited in different ways by a labour market.

The vast majority of the gender pay gap will come down to professional jobs, not manual handling jobs where the most obvious difference between men and women exist. But there's really no reason to suggest that men will be better at those high paying jobs than women will be. Unless you MRA's have some evidence to hand...
