Libor Rates And The Coming Lockdown of the Global Economy

Post by cronus » Sun Feb 25, 2018 5:32 am

Whilst these Libor things were 'corrupt' for want of a better word the big machine worked quite well. Now these cross-border currency mechanisms have been 'straightened out' for want of a better word how long before the global economy stalls on account of 'hyper-efficiency' for want of a better word? And will bitcoin rescue us all or be sad irony on the ashes of a dead global civilization?

“Starting as if in the good old-fashioned Two-Step, the dancers suddenly let go hands, the man slipping behind his fair companion, there is a little step and a hop, something like a turkey might be expected to do, then a fresh grip around the waist of the young lady, the man snuggles up ever so closely behind her and they hop, skip and jump and half run along.”

LIBOR or ICE LIBOR (previously BBA LIBOR) is a benchmark rate, which some of the world's leading banks charge each other for short-term loans. It stands for Intercontinental Exchange London Interbank Offered Rate and serves as the first step to calculating interest rates on various loans throughout the world.
