Presidential elections will never be the same. Tweets or whatever, PR, general impression. Even debates may deal with who appears "stronger" rather than substance.

Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice

Our case for survival before it's too late

America can get a lot worse (hard to believe) but it could implode into a extremely divided society.

I have no idea, but I doubt it will be better. Trump may go away, but his base will still be there.

Unless the racism blows us up first. For me, the scariest thing in Charlottesville wasn't the violence.

It was the very well-armed private militias that showed up to keep the peace.

--meh, Europe's been carping on about the failed American experiment since the beginning. It's wild to think that the brits in particular have been saying the same shit for more than 200 years.

Of course now it's just amazing, the greatest mystery, a devil of a problem, how such a nation of backward hicks could be the superpower it is. It beggars all belief.

But China, ah-ha, China'll show'em.

Yeah, far easier to claim that it's all down to crooked Hillary and fake news than it is to defend the charge that he might have something to hide.

Do you think it is a success? The only first world country having third world inequality. Failing almost in every sphere of society. 28 million people without health care? Never mind education and social services.

America is finished. It had a great run but now it's basically a empty fuel tank. Cheap oil gave it a edge in the 20th Century, in the era of oil scarcity and climate change....it's turned its back on renewable sources. Battery/renewable technology is taking off every where and America will keep relying on oil like a dinosaur. Eventually the dollar will collapse, as folks don't want to trade with a planet killer nation....said it'd come to this when the colony broke away. :read:

America is finished. It may have seemed otherwise during the hysteria that tends to follow revolutions. But now we see it for the empty husk that it is. Foreign money gave it an edge in an otherwise unwinnable war. But now that spring has been emptied, and America seems unable and even unwilling to repay the debt. Eventually its economy will collapse altogether as folks everywhere run from a nation that will not repay its debts. Of course I, along with every right thinking person in the civilized world, predicted this would happen at the first rumblings of revolution. One almost feels sorry for the Americans. -almost
