He's already registered for 2020 and has periodic rallies. It can't matter that much to him whether the GOP establishment supports him. They didn't support him in 2016.

Apparently he's losing his shit in private. That's why he keeps firing people. Not before he blows his top and shouts at them. I think he's finding the reality - that being President doesn't make you a dictator - doesn't meet his expectations from before attaining the job.
