Before Trump, she says, being a conservative meant embracing American exceptionalism, forceful moral leadership of the world, promotion of the free market and “fiscal conservatism, which now is a hoot,” she said. “Conservatism, as opposed to Republicanism—and I think that’s an important distinction—was really about a temperament as much as a substantive list of issues. There was a certain modesty in approaching government … a certain humility about governance and a reliance on the structures of the Constitution to keep central government from getting to be too powerful.”

More companies pull advertisements from Fox News. This time from Hannity.

Good to see the Republican's morally bankrupt brand getting damaged of late.

Trump has a childish shit-fit over Comey's book. Demands he be jailed.

Sad.

Definitely buying Comey's book. Just for support. I probably won't read it.

Comey responds to President Scumbag.
"That is not normal that is not OK. First of all, he’s just making stuff up. Most importantly, the President of the United States is calling for the imprisonment of a private citizen as he’s done for a whole lot of people who criticize him. That is not acceptable in this country,” Comey, whom Trump fired in May 2017, told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos Tuesday on Good Morning America. “I hope people read the book and see why the rule of law is such an important value in this country. And key to that is that the President doesn’t get to decide who goes to jail.”

If Putin's got something on Trump, what does he get for it, and when does he get it?

I don't know whether there is any kompromat on President Bogus, and in fact his approach to Putin may just be another example of his admiration for political strongman types.

'Trump puts hold on additional Russia sanctions: report'
President Trump reportedly put a stop to plans to impose additional sanctions on Russia for its alleged role in a recent suspected chemical weapons attack in Syria because he was not yet comfortable with putting the penalties in place.

The Washington Post reported that Trump spoke with his national security advisers on Sunday after U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that additional sanctions were forthcoming.

While additional economic sanctions were under consideration, the president had not given the approval to put them in place, the newspaper reported. Instead, the White House is in a “holding pattern,” and Trump will likely levy further sanctions only if Russia is involved in another event that threatens U.S. interests.

The White House on Monday morning walked back Haley’s comments, saying the administration is “considering additional sanctions on Russia and a decision will be made in the near future.”

“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

James Comey not fired over Russia investigation, claims Trump

former FBI director James Comey was not fired because of the Russia investigation in a tweet early on Wednesday, in a direct contradiction of statements he had made previously.

“Slippery James Comey, the worst FBI Director in history, was not fired because of the phony Russia investigation where, by the way, there was NO COLLUSION (except by the Dems),” Trump tweeted.

The statement does not square with Trump’s comments during a televised NBC News interview in May 2017 when he listed “this Russia thing” as one of the primary reasons he decided to fire Comey.

Trump also told Russian officials in the Oval Office that firing Comey had relieved “great pressure” on him, according to a New York Times report from the same month...

Trump signs orders dictated by Foxnews. States sue. Federal courts rule against Trump. We taxpayers pay bill for all the legal fees Trump administration is getting defending policy that beaks current law.
