Well, an asshole is an asshole. Trump’s party isn’t going to change that. Even Republican FBI agents hate him.

Balderdash. Leftish? Really. Which 'leftists' are saying you can't or shouldn't criticise or question the intelligence services? This is about as cogent as the Little Putney Whippet telling us that the Democratic Party is far, far more left than the Communists party.

So who would forward this kind of made-up cobblers, suggesting that a particular political perspective is far more questionable (and indeed, automatically so) than, say, the actual focus and content of the ongoing Congressional, Senatorial, and FBI investigations or the substance of people's views about that matter? It's deflection, and a poorly parsed attempt at that. What does the doggedly right and far-right of US politics actually think should happen with all this now? Eh? Does it even know?

I don't think it actually does know what it wants to happen, but instead of thinking about it the right seem happy to play their joker in every hand, keeping noise levels high and the tone low - even as they slip into an increasingly reactionary ethic and race headlong towards an evermore narrowly defined and extreme position.

Fuck you Trump! One term loser being ignored
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/ar ... ss/553085/
https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/ar ... ss/553085/
budget
Trump again wants to take a meat cleaver to the Environmental Protection Agency, chopping its budget by one-third. He’s asking Congress to scrap entirely community-development block grants and heating assistance for low-income housing. And he wants to eliminate funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the national endowments for the Arts and the Humanities, and a slew of other independent agencies.

The proposals prompted an outcry from Democrats, advocacy groups, and activists. But there wasn’t much cause for alarm: Congress ignored most of them last year, and lawmakers are even more likely to ignore them again this year.

Why the disconnect? While the Trump administration is proposing the cuts to offset big funding increases for defense and border security, Congress has already decided to just spend more on everything. In a rare moment of bipartisan accord, lawmakers last week adopted a two-year budget agreement that calls for $300 billion in additional spending. That deal supersedes both the dead-on-arrival fiscal 2018 budget proposal Trump issued last May and the similarly doomed 2019 blueprint the White House delivered on Monday.

While the president called for reducing the EPA’s budget by one-third, House Republicans proposed cutting it by just 6 percent. They went for a much more modest cut to the State Department, not the sharp reductions the White House wanted. They increased funding for medical research rather than cut it as Trump proposed. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the National Endowment for the Humanities similarly saw only small reductions in the GOP proposal. And because the House drafts did not reflect the bipartisan agreement for more spending that was reached last week, those departments and agencies might be spared altogether in the next two years.

snip
In that way, the plan is a nod to the new tax-less-and-spend-more reality of Trump’s Washington: After a $1.5 trillion tax cut and a $300 billion spending increase, Republicans can no longer promise a balanced budget in the foreseeable future.

Real estate tycoon broke economy. It does not hurt him, as buildings either make money or are reposessed by bank:

Lloyd Blankfein: Odds of a 'bad outcome' for economy have gone up

By Matt Egan February 14, 2018: 7:41 AM ET
Lloyd Blankfein is worried that a spending spree by the Trump administration could overheat the American economy.
"The odds of a bad outcome have gone up," the Goldman Sachs CEO told CNN's Christine Romans in an interview airing Wednesday.

Which is great, since the US is insolvent.

Trump:So if I give you 200 000 to set up a Delaware company, can you do that?
Cohen: sure, my fee is 20 000. Or 50 000 if we kep it quiet for now, and probably longer.
Trump: and you then donate 150 000 to Stormy?
Cohen: sure.
Trump: and we call the 200 000 consulting fees?
Cohen: sure

And so Stormy got 130 000. There was a ”transfer fee.”

I got that directly from Steele.

Rod Blagojevich would have written a personal check to Stormy. He never got his quid pro quo right.

Republicans have erased the Democratic advantage on the generic congressional ballot in a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll that, for the first time since April, also shows President Donald Trump’s approval rating equaling the percentage of voters who disapprove of his job performance.

Fully 39 percent of registered voters say they would support the GOP candidate for Congress in their district, while 38 percent would back the Democratic candidate. Nearly a quarter of voters, 23 percent, are undecided.

The fucker is screwed now. He will be running around his WH bedroom in his white undies:
NEW YORK (AP) — Stormy Daniels, the porn star whom Donald Trump’s attorney acknowledges paying $130,000 just before Election Day, believes she is now free to discuss an alleged sexual encounter with the man who is now president, her manager told The Associated Press Wednesday.

At the same time, developments in the bizarre case are fueling questions about whether such a payment could violate federal campaign finance laws.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, believes that Trump’s personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, invalidated a non-disclosure agreement after two news stories were published Tuesday: one in which Cohen told The New York Times he made the six-figure payment with his personal funds, and another in the Daily Beast, which reported that Cohen was shopping a book proposal that would touch on Daniels’ story, said the manager, Gina Rodriguez.

“Everything is off now, and Stormy is going to tell her story,” Rodriguez said.

Rodriguez said her client will soon announce how and when she will tell her story publicly. The celebrity website The Blast first reported the contention that Cohen’s comments freed Clifford from her non-disclosure agreement.

It makes Bill Clinton's sordid affair just that a sordid affair. All it needs now is for the pee vids to suddenly appear in the public arena and he is cooked.
