Re: Generic drug maker trouble
If we allowed more monopoly, one or two giants of the drug industry would buy it. Then they would double each generic price. That way you have the brand name and generic at the same price and people will pick the brand name. If they pick the generic, they make the same income!

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late
Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan
Turn stone to bread right away...

Mucinex, brand name for congestion medication of guaifenesin. The generic was a quarter of the cost, but also contained a quarter of the active ingredient. Which is why you always read the labels.Tero wrote:If we allowed more monopoly, one or two giants of the drug industry would buy it. Then they would double each generic price. A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
