Clegg is the guy who gave people what they voted for, only to find that wasn't what they wanted after all.

I see the appointment of one of their prominent critics as a recognition by Facebook that they want to move in a more liberal, less authoritarian direction, and that is a good thing.

It's just a sign of the continuing corporatisation politics. Soon we'll all be citizens of Facebook, Amazon, Netflix or Google.

Nick Clegg is just another little piggy with his snout in the trough and a corporate hand up his well-greased posterior.

Makes me even more snug to have exited FB.

It's all bad for one's mental health. Probably time to switch the internet off. No good comes from allowing cretins to congregate.

In all seriousness, I'm sort of in favour of there being a license to use the internet, sort of like there is a license to broadcast on the airwaves.

You must be some kind of Communist who hates freedom.

I think there are some interesting ideas in Communism, yes, but the thrust of my gist is that the internet gives a platform to people similar to how radio gives a platform, and that society could stand to benefit from the policing of its use.

If we have to pick a corporation, I'll take Strum, Ruger, and Co.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
