Historically, communism has always finished up benefiting an ever diminishing percentage of whatever community it was attempted.

What you are calling "Communism" is in fact State Capitalism.

Any communism that has been tried and doesn't work wasn't the real communism.

That leads us to the following:

1. Has there been a communism in the world that was, in fact, communism? If so, which country was that, so what we can take quick look at it, without spinning our wheels looking at state capitalist countries that are masquerading as communist countries.
2. If not, can you give a brief overview of what a communist country, in practice, would look like, or point to your source for what constitutes the real communism?

Venezuela was a prime example of what I'm getting at. When Chavez was on the rise, I read all sorts of material talking about how Chavez was a socialist, and he was remaking Venezuela under socialism, and it was looking to be a resounding success. When it started failing, though, it was no longer socialism, it was really some brand of capitalism, so not really anything we can look at to examine the failures of socialism. It wasn't the real socialism...

I find it humorous when "failing miserably" means not achieving the highly undesirable end of imposing a socialist economic system upon the people, abolition of private property, abolition of the family, abolition of religion, and imposition of equality (not merely equal opportunity and equal treatment under the law - but imposed equality of outcome).
