Given that virtually no one in this discussion (or in most of the reasoned political debate in the wider world) wants to eliminate free enterprise as such, or move to old-fashioned communism, the question becomes a matter of what government policies work best at tempering the inherently selfish nature of capitalism to reduce rampant inequality and poverty, while preserving as much human liberty as possible.

These people are not forced in the sense that someone is holding a gun to their head. Their options are limited naturally, owing to irresistible forces seeking symmetry for the market. The same forces that limit their options to act, require us to use their cheap labor; and in this way the market is symmetrical and therefore as fair as anything natural can be.
