One trick pony:
Republicans are dreaming of passing another round of tax cuts this year — or at least making vulnerable Democrats squirm by voting against them.

GOP leaders are weighing a series of votes to make last year’s temporary tax cuts for individuals permanent, according to Republicans in both chambers. The strategy would portray the party as the guardian of Americans’ paychecks, Republicans say, and buoy the GOP during a brutal election year.

MADISON - For the second time in less than a week, a Dane County judge on Tuesday told Gov. Scott Walker he must quickly order special elections to fill two legislative seats that have been vacant since December.

Nobody but the greedy among the oncologists would.

Anyway, even if Trump could cure cancer, he still would not, for doing so would mean putting an end to himself.

More than a half-dozen senior Republican donors and fundraisers interviewed by The Hill acknowledged that protecting the Senate majority might at some point become the only sensible investment for Republican donors.

There is growing frustration among donors with the GOP-controlled House — most recently over the passage of a massive budget that donors are describing as an affront to their fiscally conservative principles.

But for now, the party’s moneyed class believes the House majority will hinge on just a handful of races. Donors are moving ahead as if their dollars could be the determining factor in whether Republicans maintain a majority.

Democrats need a net gain of 24 seats to win back the House.

There are in fact 25 seats in the running in areas Hillary won

Stupid Tomi
You can't impeach him because....because he won the election!
There have been a great many stupid things said in Trump’s defense, but Fox News contributor Tomi Lahren deserves special recognition for her thoughts on impeaching Trump.

On Wednesday’s edition of “Fox & Friends,” Lahren was asked about Sean Penn’s recent remarkthat Congress should impeach Trump, and her response was to claim that the process of becoming president makes one immune to impeachment.

“Well, if he was listening to the American people,” Lahren said, “he would understand that President Trump won the election, and the American people have spoken. The fact he wants to throw out there we should arbitrarily impeach Donald Trump. I would like to hear his reasoning behind that.”

Since then, Trump has continued to engage openly in actions that former Watergate prosecutor Jill Wine-Banks says could make an airtight obstruction of justice case against him.

And Rep. Al Green (D-TX) has also introduced articles of impeachment for Trump’s incitement of racism and bigotry, citing numerous examples that include Trump’s Muslim ban, Trump’s ban on transgender military personnel, Trump’s praise of Nazis as “very fine people,” and Trump’s slurring of majority-black nations as “shithole countries.”

Even Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has hinted that Trump would face impeachment if special counsel Robert Mueller is fired.

Two trick pony, I forgot.
1 cut tax 2 privatize

Trump and pals well on their way to screw the veterans:
Sen. Bernie Sanders who also serves on the panel and chaired it in the past, was more blunt.

"Our job is to strengthen the VA in order to provide high-quality care to our veterans, not dismember it,” he said in a statement. "The Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs should not approve any nominee for secretary who supports the privatization of the VA.”

Jackson’s views on some of the most heated issues about the VA’s future are not publicly known. The raging debate over how much of the VA should be turned over to private health practitioners has split lawmakers and veterans organizations. The American Legion opposes privatization. The Koch brothers-backed Concerned Veterans of America wants a much larger private role.

Corruption:
Set up agency, oversight.

Want to double the cost and corruption? Privatize!

Conservatives: go back to babies and Jesus and gay bashing. Laura Ingraham failed attacking Parkland victim on college admission:

David Hogg, one of the most outspoken survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, is pushing back against Laura Ingraham’s taunts.

Ingraham, a conservative radio host and author, teased Hogg about the 17-year-old’s rejections from college.

“David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it,” she tweeted Wednesday with a link to a Daily Wire article. “(Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA...totally predictable given acceptance rates.)”

When you only have republicans running things, you still have to tax something:
