We seem to do OK without the approval of our European cousins.
Doing what exactly?

Your statement has no meaning and is just a negative comment. The UK has the third largest GDP in Europe - of course there's a lot going on.

You have habitually tried to put me in the Brexit camp because I happen t be British and I'm handy for you to express your anti UK prejudices against.

Don't know if anyone's posted this but I found it interesting. This is basically what happens every time I meet with the local humanist group even if we planned to talk about other things, except these guys really know their stuff.

[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

It can be the third largest of anything but how is it performing? Genuine data please.

There's really no point because you will just dismiss the data as biased, irrelevant or any old thing you can think of to support your position.

Every country in the EU has a different set of factors and dynamics to deal with. Some bald stats. Go look up your own fucking data.

List of nominal GDP for European countries in billion USD

2018 Rank Country 2014
1st Germany 3,885.440
2nd United Kingdom 2,945.394
3rd France 2,843.673
4th Italy 2,141.937

Says nothing. So you are a fairly large European country. Your growth per capita is what counts. OECD data:

Growth in GDP per capita, productivity and ULC

Does not look rosy at all for the UK. Only 1% growth compared to our 2.6 and Ireland's 6.6%.
Our growth in April this year was 3.2%. Keep trying.

Growth is leading the planet to destruction. Are you telling us the Dutch are at the head of that...?

WTF. Ozland is being destroyed by Ozzies (with a little help of the Chinese).

How is growth destroying the planet? Don't equate us with your mob.
