Even with Trump pushing coal.

Even burning coal, you get more efficiency generating electricity from it and driving cars, compared to internal combustion.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan
Turn stone to bread right away...

Once the infrastructure is in place ICE engines will be relegated to niche markets.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

One of them being serious exploration of the Australian outback. In a perfect world, I'd have an electric vehicle (charged mainly from my own solar cells) for city driving and a radius of, say, 200 km from Melbourne, and an economical diesel 4WD for journey's deep into Oz (better fuel economy from a diesel on the open road rather than city driving, and no real pollution issues)
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

Yeah, there will be a lot of them left in the boondocks here, and they'll stick around in the marine world.
