More for Trump sycophants to cheer about.

'End of Obamacare? President Donald Trump resumes an old battle. Here's why.'
Now that the peril of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is behind him, President Donald Trump is resuming an old battle: repealing Obamacare.

Reversing an earlier position, Trump’s Justice Department notified a federal appeals court in New Orleans late Monday it would ask judges to toss out the entire Affordable Care Act, casting uncertainty over the future of a federal law that has extended health insurance to millions of Americans.

The decision infuriated congressional Democrats, who promised an all-out war to protect the decade-old law, and puzzled some policy analysts and political strategists, who noted that previous Republican attempts to repeal Obamacare triggered a backlash that propelled Democrats back into the House majority in last November’s elections.

"Republicans thought they had put a scab on their self-inflicted health care wounds from 2018, but Donald Trump just ripped off the Band-Aid again by going to court to try and overturn it,” Democratic strategist Jesse Ferguson said.

...

“The Republican Party will soon be known as the party of health care – you watch,” Trump predicted Tuesday at the Capitol as he entered a luncheon with Senate Republicans, echoing remarks he’d posted on Twitter minutes earlier.

...

"Democrats are embracing a radical socialist vision for health care that would harm Americans all across the nation,"said Kayleigh McEnany, a spokeswoman for Trump’s re-election campaign.

[Kellyanne] Conway said, "We've got to fight Medicare for all and socialism.”

Congressional Democrats braced for a battle.

“Days before the election, Republicans aired ads pretending to defend health care,” said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. “Today, they have a new message: People don't deserve quality health care and insurance companies should discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions. We will fight tooth and nail.”

Joseph Antos, an economist at the conservative American Enterprise Institute, questioned whether the White House has a master plan. A missive the White House distributed Tuesday aiming to detail everything the president is doing on health care lacked substance, he said.

Life insurance for retirees allows them to get the healthcare they need, as the life insurance will pay off their debts so the spouse does not lose everything.
So much winning! Trump will kill thousands by 2020. We need that Medicare for all ASAP, ie in 2021.

LOL - where have I ever said that adopting Norway's policies would be socialism?

Answer: never.

Try again.

Apologies. You never did say any such thing. I confused someone else's posts with yours.

Sears doing this is Trump's fault?

No such thing as Trump derangement syndrome.... lol.

The 80+ year old folks you just referred to HAVE Medicare, as do all their retirees.

Think about your post here, Tero. You say "life insurance for retirees allows them to get the healthcare they need." No, it does not. It only pays off after they are dead, and while they are alive they have Medicare.

The reason given - "as" - you say, the life insurance will pay off their debts. Look - a husband and wife are both retirees at that age. They have the same means to pay off their debts after one dies as before one dies. The life insurance, indeed, can be money to support themselves and pay off debt after one dies - but, it isn't needed to get health care.

Also, your outrage is a bit much here - these are policies that started at $5,000 with most being about $8,000 to $10,000. That's what the proceeds would be. These were burial expense policies.

Sears just went through bankrtuptcy and avoided liquidation. There will be a class action suit, and if liable the company will pay out a chunk of change.

This is also a good time to remind you that Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, Alex Azar, more than tripled the price of insulin when he was an executive at Eli Lilly. That’s as close to pure evil as it gets.
