Just back from the main shopping trip of the week. Mts Rum commented on how food prices have gone up in the last 6 months. Inflation is hovering around 3% and imports are costing more, which explains it, however the way these things are massaged these days once filtered through government public announcements it is hard to determine the reality. I know people on low incomes are struggling more than ever.

I actually got myself one of those when I first retired. Unfortunately I discovered digging completely buggered one of my knees. Had to give it up which was a shame as I really enjoyed it.

Took my knee three years to recover too!

The joys of age..

You should have tried a spade. Much more efficient.
Or one of these. I got one of these for about £70 about 8 years ago. Amazingly powerful and light. Best bit of kit for an allotment. You can carry it with one hand and put it in the back of the car.

While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
