Ireland - "Lisbon Two" referendum to be passed ...

Post by klr » Sat Oct 03, 2009 9:22 am

... or so the early vote tallies say. The final Yes vote is likely to be over 60%, from 47% the first time.

So since people were voting on essentially the same proposal as before, why the change of heart?

The mob is fickle. :mob:

Or maybe they just finally woke up and smelled the rich aroma of continental coffee ... :coffee:

And another obstacle to the declaration of Tony Blair as EU President is removed......

Just what we need, a god-bothering, lying, woo-merchant war criminal at the helm...

I can live with that. You should see the tossers we've had in charge of the country here. As long as the actual wheels of government run properly, I don't care if Borat is sitting at the top seat. :eddy:

I can't abide TB, with his faith foundation and all that crap. Not to mention his slack-jawed wife.

I'm sure I'd detest him more if he was operating in my manor alright.

I think it is utterly fucking disgusting that the cretinous war criminal Blair is even being considered for such a position.

That cunt should be hauled in chains to the Old Bailey to stand trial on charges of High Treason for lying to the nation when presenting the case for war on Iraq, and he should then be dragged to The Hague to be made accountable for the disastrous consequences of his fucking crusade.

+1

As for him being made a special peace envoy to the Middle East, well, you couldn't make it up....

It really is genuinely shocking that this man and his cohorts have never been held accountable for their crimes, especially when so much evidence is in the public domain.

At the very least, the British governement should be made to release cabinet meeting minutes related to the legality of the war in Iraq before this man is allowed anywhere fucking near such an important position.

Christ, it's enough to make you think all that Christian shit about Armageddon and the anti-Christ being a leader of Europe is fucking true when you hear this.

The only way I'd be happy for Tony Blair to be elected EU president, would be if his inauguration ceremony involved a parade through the streets in an open-topped car, which passes by a school book depository and a grassy-knoll...

It will be provide Father Tony with just so many opportunities for strutting around, pushing his faith agenda and lining his pockets. It's an unbearable idea.

On a more serious note, forgetting about Blair, the current, slow movement towards a United States of Europe is fascinating to the outsider, showing the tensions between the historical legacy of nationalism and the imperative towards super power status...

Makes me glad to be a one continent, one country kind of guy...

Pope Ratzinger is always whining about 'secular Europe', I bet he'd just love to have his convert-bitch Tony as president!
