Some of those comments :hehe:

"Cool never knew it snowed in Australia"
"Thought Australia was dry desert country"

Admittedly, from what I was told I expected kangaroos hopping down George Street, Sydney's main thoroughfare in the CBD. This is what the CBD actually looked like in 1969:

Beware Australian lizards: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-08-16/ ... d/11420144
An elderly couple have been badly injured trying to break up a fight between their dog and a goanna in north Queensland.

The 72-year-old man underwent surgery after being bitten by the goanna while his wife was treated for her injuries at the Proserpine Hospital.

The couple's dog was killed during the attack.

Goannas help keep the number of poisonous snakes down by eating them... :tea:

I've seen a couple of big ones in the bush - they're pretty impressive...

Yeah, the fact a lizard can generate the force to break bones with its bite is definitely impressive. You can hang most of our lizards from your ears!

For as long as the sandpaper crew is part of the team and the same people who decided that a twelve month suspension was an adequate reaction to their cheating sit on Australia's Cricket Board I will be barracking for whoever Australia plays against.
