UK Stormpocalypse!
Abandon hope all ye who abide in this formerly-blessed realm! The Environment Agency has issued a warning of tempestuous winds and the highest storm surge for 30 years, mostly along the east coast.
Great Yarmouth may need to be evacuated, the road from there will be clogged with bath chairs.
Doomed, all doomed.
What say ye, Scrumple?

This is nothing compared with what's coming when the local supernova strips Earth of its outer atmosphere.

They probably chose 30 years because that's about the length of time that you will still have an east coast.Clinton Huxley wrote:Abandon hope all ye who abide in this formerly-blessed realm! We saw seals on the east coast yesterday! Probably the last time anyone ever will. They seemed so sad and covered with the blood of their fellows.

Rubbish bin blew right past me when visiting the Christmas Market here a hour ago. A few inches and I'd be a casualty for the storm. Luckily the roast chestnuts are protected by cast iron ovens that ain't going anywhere.
