His girlfirend was shot with a 9mm pistol. There is one rumour that he thought she was an intruder, but he's been arrested on suspicion of murder.
He was taken out of the house with his head covered and bowed, but there was still a spring in his step.
Edit : The police say they are "surprised to hear" the reports of a mistaken "intruder" shooting.
