Al-Jazeera buys Al-Gorzeera
Or I should say Al Gore's progressive cable station station Current TV for $500M. Al Gorzeera personally makes a cool 100M out of the deal.
The funny part is Glenn Beck also tried to buy the station, but was told "the legacy of who the network goes to is important to us and we are sensitive to networks not aligned with our point of view"

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

I'd sell it to Kim Jong-un before I'd sell it to Glen Beck.

Last I checked, Al-Jazeera has a reputation for good journalistic honesty.

What a great intersection of right-wing paranoia. Al Gore ("enviro-whacko") and Al Jazeera ("All Muslims are terrorists").
I think I just heard some tea baggers' heads explode.

I did a little googling and "Al Gorzeera" was coined back in 2007 when Al first started his Current TV. Someone out on the interwebs is psychic.

I'll take a moderate over a fundie every day, regardless of the religion.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

The Net is best considered analogous to communication with disincarnate intelligences. As any neophyte would tell you. Do not invoke that which you have no facility to banish.
