Grass mud horse

Piece of trivia I picked up as a news clip that I thought was mildly amusing.

Apparently, in China, dissidents often refer to the government as "your mother" in the same way we might talk of nanny state. Therefore, the phrase "fuck your mother" is actually an insult to the government. It turns out that the phrase "grass mud horse" in Mandarin is very close to the phrase "Fuck your mother". So some of the dissidents use the grass mud horse as a symbol of opposition to the government. They even make models of horses out of grass and mud, and display them.

I can just imagine a visit by the Chinese Gestapo. "Oh no, Sir. I am not a dissident. My model is just because I like horses, and a poor man like me has to make it out of grass and mud."

I can imagine someone sculpting one, using the mixture of straw and mud often used to make mud bricks...
