Be careful of cross-infection. Ineffeciencies and a general sullen attitude to work could be coming to 'merica whilst nothing much will happen here. :smoke:

And look what happened to that.

I foresee a "Toasted Cereal" pun approaching, but it's quite a stretch to link the "Touchdown Jesus Pyre" and "Corn Flakes". Someone can have a go.

If Americans haven't noticed we have a very very right wing government at the moment, if it get much more right wing it would almost count as liberal by their standards (we are still a reasonably bit left of the of the most liberal democrat)

Are you seriously saying the UK and European politics isn't way to the left of the US / the US is way to the right of Europe

Try being a conservative in any country in Europe and be against universal healthcare you really won't get very far (we have a few parties that might be happy to bump of any (illegal) immigrants who use them but thats a different matter as we wouldnt charge them for the lethal injection)

I'm seriously suggesting that your right wing getting "much more right wing" doesn't just get them to "liberal" in the United States. There a lot of "liberals" here on Ratz that should attest to that, unless the claim is that American liberal would be right wingers in some Yerpeein' country or another.

This is just Yerpeein' arrogance and conceit. You folks love to jerk off over the idea that your "liberal" is really liberal, and that Merkin' liberal is just not really liberal -- it's right wing. It's frustrating to keep hearing that shit from Yerpeeins because they say it with an air of superiority and certainly with a claim to a greater enlightenment, when really it's just an ignorant blowhard parroting invented nonsense.

Don't change the subject. This is what we were talking about - "if it get much more right wing it would almost count as liberal by their standards" - that's you saying that Yerpeein right wingers have to get MORE right wing to ALMOST count as "liberal" by Merkin standards. Bollocks, through and through. Patently absurd.

On the left to right spectrum where 1 is left wing and 100 is right wing the entire of American politics can fit into 99-100, thats just the was it is. Spend a week more than one country and thats pretty obvious
