Apparently the Left aren't the only ones who didn't like a New York law firm that specialized in foreclosures holding a "Homeless Halloween" party. Their clients were among the notable critics, and have voted with their wallets. The firm is now going out of business as a result, and the owner is now whining. In the US, he can't sue because the reports were factual.
This is pretty good coverage with links to all the juicy bits, and the whining clearly illuminated. Enjoy.

Turns out Nocera, the original writer of the column that outed the Halloween party, was after them for robosigning mortgages, and dropping the foreclosure proceedings because then they can fuck up negotiations to reduce the mortgage amount to something reasonable with outrageous accumulated "fees" that they make up. They delay the negotiation to ensure they can claim these "fees."
What pieces of shit these people are. How just they are going out of business. I hope they all get foreclosed on by people who hire the fucking Mob to come break their legs.

Just goes to show: Don't rub people's nose in it when you're screwing them wholesale.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
