My dad is on TalkTalk which have a justifiably bad rep for support. He has a web site I put together ten years ago prior to his old ISP being bought twice and absorbed into TalkTalk. He wants the web site deleted and FTP just doesn't work because the site details have changed with the company changing hands over the years. Anyway I phoned them this morning to ask them how to get it taken down. I went through the usual - actually exceptionally long - telephone menu system - well over five minutes, only to get the message 'we are currently experiencing very high call volumes and are unable to help you at the moment'. The bastards!

I wrote them an email instead.

Hi Rum,

Can you confirm if the account holder still has an active TalkTalk Account? If so we can provide assistance via the TalkTalk Members Forum.

If the telephone and BB account is no logner active but he has still had access to the Webspace we can still look into this, but it will require a differnt approach to resolve.
