Tape was important when I was playing rugby. It was used as protection. We just used sports tape. Rolls of it. Almost everyone taped their fingers as your pinks are very vulnerable. Forwards taped their ears. For some it was like a superstition.

Yeah...I get that people use it for many reasons.

It's actually something I find hard to think around. I toss the baby with the bathwater, because it's all fucking polluted.

Maybe there is some clear benefit to taping, but if there is, I would turn to it last. I like to build every supporting muscle I can before turning to other supports (knee braces/lift belts/wrist wraps/etc.)

I'm likely missing out because of it, but not missing anything too important.
