The low Democrat turnout following a win like this suggest some drop in interest. I'm wondering if the absence of Trump will show up as a multiplier of sorts for that.
Sorry, I can't parse that.

Keep in mind that left leaning sites are not married to the Democrat Party, and even if they were there'd be opportunities for fights galore. Fights always attract crowds. Nothing will drop off the map.

I don't really expect all lefty online media to shut down. I expect them to see far less traffic as interest in politics dwindles now that Trump is gone.
Sorry, I can't parse that.
I think Trump drove interest/participation in politics to a new high. With him gone I wonder if we will see the usual lack of participation, and then some.

The internecine battle between the conservative Democrat establishment and the party's small but energised progressive contingent is going to keep the left media wringing it's hands along with its ad revenue.

Trump won't be in the White House, but as long as he's alive he will not be 'absent' from the news. He's got a devoted cult following of millions of MAGA fanatics, and Trumpism is not going away any time soon. On the other hand, I hear where you're coming from. There is nothing equivalent to Trumpism on the left, and too often Democratic voters seem unable to get off their arses and tick boxes on ballots.
