Fairy data, Hermit. You've been drinking the Anglo-Saxon kook-aid.

Typical EBM really.
Yeah, we all need to stand up against the evidence-based maniacs and their fictitious 'data.' ;ob;

What is kook-aid?

I nice big full blown explanation Brian which says nothing. No alternatives were tried as they were laughed at by the dictators who were not willing to give up their power until the politicians took over. The data was always suspect and it was admitted as such. It was fairy data by the way it was collected. A nice bit of shoe horning is now going on to cover up the massive mistakes of the dictators and their governments who listened to them.

The ones last to be vaccinated. Maybe they should have been first along with the elderly. That is what went wrong here allowing unvaccinated youth to go to clubs and festivals. Vaccination should have happened first. The rise in infections took place within this group.

Hm. So lockdowns don't work but unvaccinated people shouldn't have been allowed to go out. Seems contradictory.

They should have been vaccinated as soon as possible as they are the most mobile group and along with the elderly. Shutting clubs and pubs is not a full blown lockdown which entails travel restrictions. Our Irish family members were restricted to only two kilometres of travel at the height of their lockdown.

There's no reasoning or logic in SD's posts. You should know that by now.

If lockdowns etc were "massive mistakes" what should they have done in response to the rising cases, hospital admissions, and fatalities?

It took 10 months to develop and produce vaccines. What should people done in the meantime in light of rising case numbers, hospital admissions, and fatalities?

No alternatives were looked at. Lockdowns were a tool. A ten ton hammer to crack a walnut. The dictators spoke and governments jumped and took advantage. The obvious was ignored. Keeping people visible was not important but locking them away was.

Covid-19: Dutch PM Rutte 'sorry for easing restrictions too soon'

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has apologised for "an error of judgement" in scrapping most coronavirus restrictions in the country.

The easing three weeks ago led to infection levels surging to their highest this year as nightlife resumed for large numbers of young people.

Curbs on bars, restaurants and nightclubs were reimposed on Friday.

Previously Mr Rutte had refused to take any blame for the opening up, describing it as a "logical step".
