Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Apparently there have been 5500 hospitalizations / fatalities in the U.S. of Delta infected, previously vaccinated individuals. 159,000,000 have been vaccinated. That is about 0.003%.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Our county, pop 285 000, sees July uptick (and yes, we had 55% voting Biden, the state did not):
Seventy-two percent of people 16 and older have started their vaccination. And it’s a number that’s rising.
That’s the case across Lancaster County. In July 6,569 people started the vaccination process. The rate at which they’re getting their first doses increased by 81% the second half of the month.
“I think people are understanding the importance of getting it,” said Scheele.
It’s not just here. Laura McDougall, director of Four Corners Health District which covers York, Seward, Butler and Polk Counties, said they’re seeing a similar trend.
(Ranching counties out W still resisting)

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Was due to get my first jab in two days, but it got put back five weeks. They are sending the vaccine supply to Sydney for their outbreak. Bit annoyed, as I am paranoid about getting this new delta variant. Was looking forward to having some immunity in place.

Being vaccinated is a black and white action. You cant be half vaccinated. That is real data but of course some are unable to see that.

You poor thing one vaccination is already protection. With the Janssen vaccine once is enough.
Does making unsupported false claims come to you naturally as does insulting. Sent any begging letters recently?

Do you have to work at it, or does making dumb statements just come to you naturally?

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Of the people here taken into hospital only one in a hundred has been fully vaccinated but has no underlying illness. 17 have been vaccinated but have underlying sicknesses. The other 82 have not had any form of vaccination.
Admissions have now reached their peak.

All jokes aside, I feel for poor bloody NSW - we've been there, we know that it sucks...
Victoria has recorded its first day without a new locally acquired case of COVID-19 in almost a month.
The last time the state recorded a day without a local case was on July 11.
Since then, an outbreak of the Delta strain of the virus infected more than 200 people and sent the state into a 12-day lockdown, its fifth since the pandemic began.
The zero day was detected from 30,117 test results processed on Tuesday.
There are now 99 active cases of coronavirus in the state, including those in hotel quarantine.
That number is half what it was a week ago, with a peak of 205 active infections on July 28.
