Capitalism has done more good for more people over the past 200 or so years, and especially worldwide over the last 30 years, than any other economic system. Capitalism has done more to eliminate poverty than communism or socialism ever could, or ever offered to do.

Assuming you believe in global warming and the current mass extinction event, then it's easy to pin in on capitalism as it's the current ideology that is overseeing all that. It can't be anything else. If you think it can, then what is it?

And it's easy to see how capitalism leads to these sorts of long term problems, as it only deals in relatively short term profit issues and externalises anything that it can't put a current price on. Global warming and ecological collapse will play out in the long term. Capitalism is categorically unable to address these sorts of problems.
