Voting isn't mandatory here. I could chose not to vote in the hopes of forcing Democrats through more painful defeats to give us better candidates.Hermit wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 5:36 amProblem is, come November you must hire one of them. So, whom will you hire? The bumbling one or the one who is going to destroy the semblance of democracy you have left?Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 4:41 pmYou wouldn't hire a kid to flip burgers if he interviewed like either one...
But, I acknowledge my weaknesses. I understand, as I mentioned before, that I don't know if Biden is suffering from stress and fatigue or if he is really in serious decline. I can find many examples of him speaking reasonably. If those examples didn't exist, and there wasn't an obvious effort by his opponents to portray him in as bad a light as possible, the case for his being in serious decline would be much stronger. But the counter examples do exist, and his opponents are invested in making him look bad just like they were with Clinton, who, if you remember, should be dead or drooling by now according to their dire warnings. She is neither, even after suffering what must have been the most humiliating defeat in her life.

Arguing with Tero in this case is probably just about the chip on my shoulder. If you're going to sell the American people the lie of meritocracy, you motherfuckers better stop letting the obviously unfit into the White House and telling people it doesn't matter.

But everyone had a better candidate! I had three, and none of them was Bernie.

That is true, but why did Biden come into the race?

In other words the leadership is not in fact interested in giving you better candidates.

It's calculated to be slightly left. They would want it to be more left, more equal income, but they only push it enough left to get the maximum votes a Democrat could get. Charisma is cheap, no political sacrifice needed, but that does not come around often.

What happened in virus news today, and how does it show Trump's racism?

Trump not only still blames the Chinese for lying about person to person transmission, he wants to make them pay for it.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Dogs unleashed on Trump:
At a time when Trump has sought to undermine nearly every independent review of his administration’s conduct, the GAO is likely to dispatch most of its 3,000 investigators, experts and analysts into an arena that could make it a target for the president’s fury. And its quiet early work could soon become very loud: The office is required under the new law to brief Congress every month and issue a bimonthly public report on its findings.
The office probed his decision to delay $400 million in military aid to Ukraine and found that he violated the law by failing to inform Congress of the move. It was a politically explosive finding even if Republicans largely ignored it during the impeachment trial. GAO also noted that the White House budget office and State Department were largely uncooperative in the probe — and the administration could impose similar limitations in its coronavirus work.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
Sorry, I should have expressed myself more clearly. With 'you' I meant all US voters, and yes you (plural) will choose one or the other, regardless of how you (you) vote. Even by not voting at all you (plural) are affecting the outcome, and yes, you (plural) do so even if you live in California or Alabama. If you (plural) don't vote, or if you (plural) vote for someone who has zero chance of winning the presidential elections in November is not neutral.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 5:22 pmVoting isn't mandatory here. As for being given better Democrat candidates, you missed the bus. It was the one labelled 'Primaries', and you had a field of 27 hopefuls to choose from. Biden led the race from the start (14 April) and except for a short period (10 February to 4 March) was never headed. Refusing to vote now in the hope to get better Democrat candidates after another four years of Trump is like not accepting the toss of a coin and hoping that by ignoring it you (plural) will change the odds of the next toss landing the other way.
Oh, and you (plural) better hope there will be another election if Trump wins this year's.

Does he blame Chinese, or does he blame the CCP?Tyrannical wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 10:30 pmTrump not only still blames the Chinese for lying about person to person transmission, he wants to make them pay for it.
I think he blames the government, with deliberately sloppy language. If idiots will attack him for a racism amidst a pandemic, it might end up making him look like the sane one. After barking racism at him, if the CCP turns out to be 'bad guys', it will look like all the accusations of racism are dismissable as CCP propaganda.
It may all be a clever conspiracy to steal this falls election by getting his 'supporters' to vote.
So Trump, for delaying aid to Ukraine, gets in trouble huh?Tero wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 10:46 pmDogs unleashed on Trump:

Since Pelosi delayed aid to the USA recently, will she be investigated?
