Yep. I had a good laugh recently when my mom told me her neighbor had called the cops on some city employees working on the street lights near her house. She had seen them on her newly installed security cameras.

They are already here. No use harassing 90 000 visa holders abroad:
In its comprehensive review of terror cases in the US since 9/11, the New America Foundation notes that "every jihadist who conducted a lethal attack inside the United States since 9/11 was (an American) citizen or legal resident."

It's a visionary solution Tero i.e. implement the ban 60 years ago instead of today. How does that change your stats?

Or we just live with terrorism and incorporate a lot of regulations that make it hard to get materials for terrorist acts. The biggest danger, as we steer slowly, Post Trump, into "socialism", is white supremacists with guns.

It's already harder to get ammonium nitrate, as urea (perfectly good fertilizer) replaces it.

and urea, being a nitrate itself, might still be useful in manufacturing explosives... are terrorists going to save up on their pee to make home bombs?

Urea is H2N-CO-NH2. There is no NO bond. It has no explosive qualities.

Trump has nowhere to go. He has 80% backing among Republicans and his backing among independents will erode quickly. To function at all as president, for as long as that goes (2 years?), he has to stay with his America first foreigners are all to blame for all ills policy for at least the four years. That way he can stay at 40% approval and not sink lower. Any give to liberals will be seen as weakness and he will sink to 20% approval and will have to resign as nobody wants him then. There is absolutely no way he can move toward the middle.

He will then keep pushing his agenda and congress will approve some of it. Import taxes, probably not.

The alternative to pushing towards the middle is dividing the nation and pushing his support further to the right. With fear the population and the media can be cowed. After that who's going to want to vote against him in government? Remember, lying for Trump is good because the means always justifies the ends.

JUSTICE DEPT, NYT:
During a morning-long hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Democrats painted Mr. Sessions as an extremist legal savant for Mr. Trump in support of right-wing ideologies, while Republicans portrayed him as a whip-smart lawyer and law-and-order prosecutor who would enforce the law as written.

“How could we possibly conclude that this nominee will be independent?” asked Senator Dianne Feinstein of California, the top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

She said that Sally Q. Yates, the former acting attorney general fired late Monday, showed “guts” and independence in refusing to defend Mr. Trump’s executive order banning immigrants from seven largely Muslim countries.

“I have no confidence that Senator Sessions will do that,” Ms. Feinstein said.

Democrats hope to turn the tumult into a referendum on Mr. Sessions, an Alabama Republican, and whether he would have the independence to serve as the nation’s chief law enforcement official after emerging as one of Mr. Trump’s closest advisers in the presidential campaign.

Democrats are already calling it “the Monday night massacre” after Mr. Trump fired Ms. Yates, the acting attorney general, for refusing to defend his immigration order in court.

Feds Blow Off Judge and Congressmen to Enforce Trump’s Orders at Dulles
Lawyers at the airport, who spent hours waiting and hoping to be able to meet with travelers who were held by CBP, said they were deeply distressed that no one forced the agency to comply more fully with Brinkema’s order.
