Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Got my second shot yesterday. So far, I'm just a little achy and tired. Some of the folks I know who've had the second shot have felt pretty bad for a day or so.

I'm expecting mine any time now. Feel a bit guilty since I'm not in a risk group, but it's the way the dice rolls out sometimes. I picked a better region, 15 years ago.
Trying not to feel guilty about my wealth is tough in this spot.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Yeah, I felt a little guilty because I'm not high risk, have no comorbidities, and don't see patients. However, I'm glad to have done it.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Ya. A little guilty.
I'm not high-risk, no comorbidities and don't even think I should get one. Except I am wanted to be a medical escort, which brings me to a hospital. And probably airports. And ya, I want one now.
I feel like I'm line-jumping, but the priority is to keep it OUT of our area, and so my feelings about the vaccine's fair distribution are moot.
Ok, maybe more than a little guilty.

There's some anecdotal evidence suggesting the Pfizer jab can cause low mood in a small number of people. Keep that in mind if you find yourself oiling your gun in the woodshed at 2 in the morning.Joe wrote:Got my second shot yesterday. So far, I'm just a little achy and tired. Re: The Coronavirus Thread
With that news around the Pfizer jab, I decided to book my first dose of Moderna. I get jabbed tomorrow, and with the Moderna option, I won't even have to oil my gun.
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Well, with my eyesight I can't really hit anything I shoot at anymore, so I sold off my rifle and rely on a 17 pound dog and a couple of cats for home protection. My mood is okay, but I'm a little low energy. Nothing a shot of Gosling's Black Seal and some ginger beer won't ameliorate.Brian Peacock wrote: ↑Sat Feb 20, 2021 12:31 amThere's some anecdotal evidence suggesting the Pfizer jab can cause low mood in a small number of people. Re: The Coronavirus Thread
This I don't get. I used syringes to transfer chemicals for 30-40 years. I never held an ampule upside down. Some ampules were all glass. You broke the top, syringed it out needle down. If there was a rubber septum with a seal, I held it on the bench, syringed it out needle down. Turn syringe upside down. Squirt out the air, read the volume. You never squirt anything back in the ampule.
If I were vaccinating, I would tend to do it like that.
With chemicals, there was good reason. You don't want chemicals dripping down your gloved hand.

Yeah, that's what I would have thought. You can hold it at eye level and see exactly where the end of the needle is.
