All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Saw a recent photo of Dr. F, Dr. B and a few others sitting beside the lectern, waiting to speak. No social distance rules for them.
I wonder if they are smarter than us, or something...

He said other things, but a selective reading could yield your understanding.
Hope your lake is pretty. I'm going to go run across mine right away. DON'T melt it - I'm serious - you keep that climate change to yourself this afternoon.

Aren't we all keen to open sooner rather than later dipshit?
The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Maybe it should have been something like, avoid staring into the vacant face of the idiot lest you become him?

Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Too busy with his TV appearances, Trump for once lets somebody do their job:
CNN
So far, even the most prominent Fed critics and skeptics have hardly batted an eye at the scale of the moves as the depth of the hit to the economy has been laid bare in recent weeks.
That's in part because of the nature of the current crisis versus the last one. A pandemic is not the same as Wall Street banks using financial instruments to package bad loans at a scale that would threaten the global financial system, or overleveraged borrowers, or companies that made bad decisions or investments.
.... To not repeat the mistakes of the Great Depression. To not let another 15 million people lose their jobs. To hold as much of the economy together as possible to let those newly unemployed return to work as quickly as possible."

It was an accident. Trump failed to fire the guy.

Trump has been in charge of the virus response for a year or so.
Fauci for a few decades.
How much responsibility should each take for the failures ?

Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Fauci was never in charge of the epidemic. His boss, HHS secretary was. Currently Azar. He has an R&D team to run and publish methods and results.
Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
Did this virus erupt randomly from a wet market? Or was it a leak from a bio lab? Some other origin?
Re: All Things Trump: Is it over yet?
I ask because the wet markets are opening again. How can Trump be blamed for that? Or can we blame him for funding the nearby bio-lab?
