Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Can't video now, but it looks like better building air management. I still think there is room for personal air management, now that infection is a much more serious concern.
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Wearing a filtering mask is "personal air management".
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Of course, and I do hope you try your best to never wear them! Safety first!
But I meant having the air as a barrier to others' moist air. Another here (JimC? BP?) suggested a compressed tank, and that makes me think a reverse-gas-mask would keep your face safe from non-tank air...
I don't know how it will manifest, but I think there will be some application of HVAC to individuals.
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
I usually only go out once a week for grocery shopping.
Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Minimizing trips is a good step. Can you get them to serve you in the parking lot? They do that here (poorly)

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
We're in our snap lockdown. We'll still be able to go for a walk, go shopping or visit the doctor, but that's about it. As long as case numbers don't explode, it's meant to finish on Wednesday night. All began via infections of staff working in hotel quarantine, probably via aerosol transmission, which hasn't yet received the attention it should.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Nobody from the major news outlets is talking about aerosol transmission here either, though I've read s couple of serious articles about it recently.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Tero, you are involved?
https://yle.fi/uutiset/osasto/news/rapi ... d/11788674A few puffs into a handheld device, where nanosensors analyse your breath. Data is sent via a mobile app to a cloud-based service that within a few seconds says whether or not the testee has Covid-19.
That's the plan for a Tampere firm that is developing a Covid-19 breathalyser device.
The result is based on the biomarkers that indicate changes in the body when people are infected with Covid. When people breathe out, they leave the lungs and the body, allowing breathalysers to identify Covid cases.

Re: The Coronavirus Thread
Why doesn't the handheld device do the data analysis?
