Obviously, Who cares that about everybody, in their twenties, with dark hair, pale skin and a hawk nose would probably have been shoot down as soon as they showed themselves on the street. Or even been hunted down in their own homes, by the lynch mob.

Nah. The citizenry would most likely have just detained him and called the police, who were moments away. Worst case is he shoots at them and they shoot back. That's an instructive lesson for other terrorists that they will find no refuge anywhere if they attack us, and we will kill them wherever we find them. No matter how long it takes or how much it costs.

That's because he was detained for about 40 minutes and then released when it was determined he had no connection to the terrorists. Having him strip was a wise precaution, given the evident fact that the dead older brother was wearing a suicide explosive vest.

It's called "exigent circumstances" which permit the police to do any reasonable thing (short of killing someone) necessary in the hot pursuit of a criminal who poses a grave danger to the public. Being detained and disrobed because you bear a reasonable resemblance to a terrorist bombing suspect is entirely reasonable under the exigent circumstances exception.

I'm not questioning the arrest itself. Well, except that the cops allowed it to be filmed. I am questioning why the media had zero coverage of this.

Er, you heard about it, which means there was not "zero coverage," and the media, along with everybody else, had more important things to do than bother with a person who was detained and released during a manhunt for two terrorist fugitives. I'm sure there were MANY young men stopped and checked out that day. Who cares?
