corona deaths states.jpg
Our state deaths have hit about 1000 per million population. Missouri next door with denser population is around 1200. I think we have a lot 0f 50+ workers at food processing plants that have been getting it for half a year.

Man Pleads Guilty to $2.5 Million Coronavirus Fraud
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – A Leesburg man pleaded guilty today to fraudulently obtaining two loans for over $2.5 million under the Paycheck Protection Program (“PPP”).
...
In total, Kindambu fraudulently obtained approximately $2,501,753 in loan proceeds, and he then spent those funds, in part, on items unrelated to any legitimate PPP-related expense. Those items included a Lexus automobile and Cessna aircraft; Kindambu’s personal taxes, the down-payment on a luxury residence in Leesburg, and his day-to-day living expenses; and various purchases of jewelry, clothing, accessories, and shoes.

The latest fad is a poverty social. Every woman must wear calico,
and every man his old clothes. In addition each is fined 25 cents if
he or she does not have a patch on his or her clothing. If these
parties become a regular thing, says an exchange, won't there be
a good chance for newspaper men to shine?

Grocery store shopping mask effort has fallen to "whatever." One guy about 80 was at the self check out. He had pulled his mask on his chin and was taking glasses out of a pocket to run the check out.

That's the level of compliance I would expect from average people.

I wish more of the smart people realized how stupid the average person is, and how many are even dumber.

You mention stupid people. I have a quote from laklak:
Most people simply lack the intellectual curiosity or indeed the ability to understand anything more complex than macaroni and cheese in a box. That's why they put pictures on fast food menus.

BBC

In the meantime, the EU is trying to get some control over the number of vaccine doses leaving the bloc from pharmaceutical company sites. New powers for EU members to restrict exports of vaccines are expected to be made public later on Friday.
AstraZeneca, BioNTech and Pfizer have EU production sites. Moderna completes its vaccines for countries other than the US in Spain, although the vaccine itself is produced in Switzerland, which is not an EU member.
Basically, Brussels wants to know if pharmaceutical companies are exporting vaccines or components needed to produce vaccines from EU production sites, in order to fulfil orders elsewhere, when those same companies have delayed supplies to the EU.
Officially, Brussels insists it doesn't intend to ban vaccine exports in the future. It claims the new powers for members states are for the purpose of transparency. But the situation is evolving.

If the EU is behind (they delayes commitment), it would be best to get the Astra Zeneca for people 20-65. It's prevented deaths.

EU delay was 2 months:

On 13 June 2020, AstraZeneca signed a contract with the Inclusive Vaccines Alliance, a group formed by France, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands, to supply up to 400 million doses to all European Union member states.[72][73][74] However, the European Commission intervened to stop the deal being formalised. It took over negotiations on behalf of the whole EU, signing a deal at the end of August.[75]

Yeah. Politically, a cartel of the bloc's five richest nations jumping the gun on the other 21 didnt go down very well. "Hey guys... we're called the European Union, right?"

I don't have time to read the pdf
https://www.fda.gov/media/144434/download

But: moderna better than pfizer
Moderna’s is even better — in a document submitted to the Food and Drug Administration, the drugmaker found their inoculation provided 80.2 percent protection after a single dose.
