Yeah, we get that Sean: we're all supposed to accept that the president is the one true and absolute authority in all things. Those polls are of course fake news by the MSM.

Re: We need to talk about Donald – the Nightmare continues
So I was thinking: does Trump have tapes of his conversations with Comey or not - the one's which Comey's memos are supposed to detail how Trump demanded Comey's personal loyalty, that the FBI make a statement that they weren't investigating Trump, and asking the FBI chief to 'let go' the investigation of Flynn? He certainly hinted that he did have some tapes.

If there are tapes then Trump would be the one to know about it - and as his tweet suggest, tapes of his conversations with Comey do seem to exist. And if he does have such recordings, and they exonerate him, why hasn't he released them, at least passed them on to the HIC investigation? If he doesn't, why did he publicly threaten Comey with their existence?
Regardless of whether these recordings actually exist, or not, his tweet is a blatant attempt to put pressurise and influence Comey with regards to what Comey might say publicly or, perhaps more significantly, what he might say in his appearance before the investigation committee, possibly this week. In other words, the tweet amounts an attempt on the part of the president to obstruct a judicial process that should remain independent of his influence.
Someone should ask him if he actually has tapes of his conversations with Comey and if he's going to hand them to the Oversight Committee and HIC investigation if he does - oh, someone already has, and it's not just the Democrats that are bothered by the implications.

Still nothing forthcoming on how a voluntary commitment is a bad deal for America.
