Unemployment being low may be meaningless to you, but to most people it isn't. As we near full employment, it pays massive dividends to the economy as a whole. To suggest that the unemployment rate is irrelevant is pig ignorance.

The US national debt needs to be address, IMO. So, I'll agree that deficit reduction should be a focus.

Climate change? https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/20 ... d8f5f23535

"According to the 2017 BP Statistical Review of World Energy, since 2005 annual U.S. carbon dioxide emissions have declined by 758 million metric tons. That is by far the largest decline of any country in the world over that timespan and is nearly as large as the 770 million metric ton decline for the entire European Union.

By comparison, the second largest decline during that period was registered by the United Kingdom, which reported a 170 million metric ton decline. At the same time, China's carbon dioxide emissions grew by 3 billion metric tons, and India's grew by 1 billion metric tons."

The US isn't really bad on wealth inequality. The big issue with the US is that most billionaires are from the US, so that skews the numbers up. But as has been pointed out to you before, our middle class is way above the world average in wealth, and our poor are even (on average) far less poor than when compared to most other countries in the world. Equality is a relevant statistic, but it isn't all important.

Who is producing the propaganda? They are all estimates. Congressional Budget Office! Publishing what trump tells them. Any independent data?
Well, if we're throwing out the data, then I guess we just pick which team we like best and root for it, because we can't possibly know that any of the data under the previous administration was accurate either.

Define unemployment? Define growth? Growth for whom? The 1%? The USA and the UK are alike when it comes to data. Guestimates. It says nothing.
That's absurd. The US and the UK are among the most open and transparent countries when it comes to economic data.

How many people actually live in America? Nobody can tell you because no one knows. How many unemployed? Make a wild guess and why not that is what Congressional Budget Office does. Data in America is a mess. No two states collect data the same way.
No country knows exactly to the person how many people live in the country, but we have census ever 10 years which has been conducted for centuries.

But, I'll just accept that your view of it is that nobody has any idea how many people live in the US, we don't know what the unemployment rate is, we don't know what the debt is, or the deficit, or any figures on economic growth, etc., and we haven't known any of that in the slightest for, say, the last 25 years or more, if ever (probably never). Does that sum up your position?

Sam Harris can't believe Trump is President.

--bleh, he's just bad at it. Or do you think a guy getting sucked off in the oval office by an intern ain't hiding some character flaws?

That's not a yeah but, more a 'we only hate the criminals that get caught' statement.

BTW I said the same thing Harris, ages ago. :tea:

Wasn't it a closet off the oval office? Coat room? Have they checked in there for the missing Melania in there?

I don't make the rules Tero. I just follow them like everyone else, which means I'll find it easier to hate the inept sociopath than the gifted one. :dunno:

It seems to be a little office off the Oval office with toilet and all:
According to Ms. Lewinsky, she and the President kissed. She unbuttoned her jacket; either she unhooked her bra or he lifted her bra up; and he touched her breasts with his hands and mouth. Ms. Lewinsky testified: "I believe he took a phone call...and so we moved from the hallway into the back office ...He put his hand down my pants and stimulated me manually in the genital area." While the President continued talking on the phone (Ms. Lewinsky understood that the caller was a Member of Congress or a Senator), she performed oral sex on him. He finished his call, and, a moment later, told Ms. Lewinsky to stop.

Starting at 3:38, he refers to identity politics as an excess of the left, and as the disease for which the Trump reaction was the cure (which is worse than the disease). He blames the left for the backlash and "white identity politics" that he says brought us Donald Trump. He excoriates identity politics through about 6:40.

Can you believe we had to get that testimony! We're all so screwed up.

I doubt there is a President who didn't bang some chicks here and there in the White House.

Nowadays, though, a 21 or 22 year old intern who blows the chiefest chief executive of any organization in the US, and probably the world - one of the most powerful men in the world - would be seen as being raped. She can't consent, what with that power disparity. He was her boss, and the President.

Although, if she did consent under the new definition of "verbal and enthusiastic..." which is the barometer now for actual consent, then I guess he got a humdinger of a hummer, what with all that enthusiasm, and she told him out loud that she wanted to do it.... otherwise, it wouldn't be sufficient consent....

I was thinking of his wife and the image of his position and yes the fact that she was an intern. I don't care about people fucking generally. :dunno:

Me neither. Heck, John F. Kennedy was fucking everything that moved. Hollywood starlets by the busload.

British Prime Minister McMillan quoted JFK as saying, "if I don't have a lay for three days, I get a headache."

He famously banged Marilyn Monroe, but then he also did Judith Exner for years (and used her to courier messages to and from mob boss Sam Giancana, who had helped get JFK elected, although there's no such thing as voter fraud). He banged Inga Arvad, the soviet spy. Blonde bombshell Anita Ekberg. Marlene Dietrich. Gene Tierney.

JFK banged an even younger intern than Billy boy Clinton. JFK had 19 year old Mimi Alford, who said JFK broke her cherry. Two secretaries, nicknamed Fiddle and Faddle were fixtures in the Kennedy White House whose primary role was to skinny-dip with the President in the enclosed pool. They also were brought on ‘business trips’ to Berlin, Rome, Ireland, Costa Rica, etc.

He had a stream of hookers everywhere he went, it's been said.

Did he pay the hookers off illegally with campaign funds, though. That's probably the pertinent question.

1960 was pre-FECA, so pretty much everything was cool back then. Paying off hookers was probably viewed as rather a banality.
