Here's Amazon's statement;

It seems that if Parler had moderation they'd still be around. Instead they advertised themselves as a safe space for all the people who had been kicked off other social media websites for inciting violence exercising their free speech and the proponents of this site and its well wishers are acting surprised this has blown up in their face.

If Trump is going to be able to run his term (probably skip his last day though) and bow out disgracefully, what about Cruz et al? Should they go; jump or be pushed? Does the constitution say anything about elected representatives engaging in insurrection?

Seems to me, looking from the outside with only a passing understanding of the constitution, that the objectors at least took part in an extrajudicial attempt to circumvent a constitutional necessity. I think the idea that their actions should be considered separately to those of the President, whose actions in turn should be considered separately to those of the mob, is on pretty shaky ground morally (and factually) - the actions of, and the desired outcomes for, the President, the objectors, and the mob are clearly intertwined and codependant.

I think it's right to let the police and the criminal justice system deal with the trespassers, but when it comes to assessing the actions of Senators and Presidents... well, let's just say that things often take on a rather surreal aspect.

On November 7, 1983 the leftist terrorist group Armed Resistance Unit took responsibility for detonating a bomb in the lobby outside the office of Senate Minority Leader Robert Byrd. The terrorists claimed they intended to protest the invasion of Grenada. After four and a half years of investigation, federal agents arrested six terrorists and charged them with the bombings of the Capitol, Fort McNair, and the Washington Navy Yard.

On the day he left office, President Bill Clinton commuted the sentence of Linda Evans, one of the bombers.

as to Trump increasing twitter profits, he sure did. If you look here, many people who say they don't like him, post about him almost non-stop.
