BOEM to Resume Environmental Review of Vineyard Wind’s Proposed Project

WASHINGTON — In support of the Biden administration’s goal to address climate change and promote offshore renewable energy production, the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) announced today that it intends to resume the environmental review of Vineyard Wind’s proposed offshore wind project.

“Offshore wind has the potential to help our nation combat climate change, improve resilience through reliable power, and spur economic development to create good-paying jobs,” said BOEM Director Amanda Lefton. “BOEM is committed to conducting a robust and timely review of the proposed project.”

BOEM will resume the environmental review of the Vineyard Wind Project and proceed with development of a Final Environmental Impact Statement.

In 2017, President Donald Trump abruptly ordered the resignation of 46 U.S. attorneys who were holdovers from the Obama administration.

When Trump ordered the resignations in 2017, a Justice Department statement at the time said the action was taken "as was the case in prior transitions."

The ordering of U.S. attorneys to resign has sometimes sparked political controversy.

In 2017, Preet Bharara, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, publicly said he did not resign and was instead fired.

It costs more to implement a means test than the savings made by exclusion of those less affected. It should therefore be a general payment.
Those who feel they don't deserve the money, can donate it to a charity of their choice.
Americans are mainly generous, honest and decent people, so that'd work.
