Before I consider coming back to this site; have any of the Trump supporters, who I've all blocked, come around to their senses, seeing, as we all do, what's happening, and that the 'reasonable' Trump some claimed would crawl majestically out of the shit, hasn't materialised?

He's giving his supporters exactly what they wanted: A ban on Muslim entering the country, a beautiful wall, climate change denial, an end to abortion, torture for bad guys (if only to make sure that they really are bad), and all that shizz. This is 'reasonable' as far as Trump supporters are concerned.

I believe there was definitely one who thought that Trump was going to surprise and wow everyone. That one disappoints me the most.

I don't know why you're shocked. He's done everything we, those of us who actually listened and weren't whipped into a mindless frenzy of hate, said he would. He hasn't done a single surprising thing yet.

I'm surprised he's actually trying to implement all his insane policies. I assumed he was going to play golf for four years.

It’s almost beyond belief to me that anyone could mischaracterize the U.S. government’s vetting process as weak and insufficient, when it’s clearly anything but, to justify shutting the gate to millions of Syrian refugees. There is no way to look at my experience and the experience of tens of thousands of other refugees living in America and conclude that the country’s vetting system is not exhaustive and thorough.

To me, the real rationale behind Friday’s executive order is obvious: The president and his supporters do not trust people like me. Being both Syrian and Muslim (though I'm not personally religious) makes me doubly suspicious. I’m happy to be in the United States, a country I love. But it saddens me deeply to see what is happening here.
