At Sunday's AmFest in Arizona, Trump was complaining about undocumented migrants when he was interrupted by an apparent noise.

"We had an open border," the president-elect opined. "They're gang members, they're drug dealers, they're drug addicts, people that were sick, people that were healthy and strong."

"What the hell was that?" he said, pausing his speech to look up. "You get the little yips up here every once in a while."

"I wonder why it was a strange sound. I've heard some very strange sounds."

After the brief interruption, Trump continued his rant.

"Every foreign gang member will be expelled, and I will immediately designate the cartels as foreign terrorist organizations," he insisted. "We're going to do it immediately."

They made up Truth social posts about Trumpa and Musk. In arizona he is truly mad at Musk. But his senators may follow Musk rather than Trump, because Musk will buy the next GOP candidate as well. Trump is soon irrelevant to the GOP after they get something.

The owners are the ~60k Inuit who live there, not some European dynasty best known for canned sardines. American Citizenship, Trumps big personality and the promise of investments could win them over. Their distant cousins in Alaska will tell them it's a smart move, or better than being sent to fight in Ukraine for Putin.

For those interested in details, the 9/11 healthcare fund established in 2011 for first responders has been removed from the federal budget. The picture is from last January. Ships using the canal must pay fees set by the canal authority. Variable rates have soared in recent years amid droughts worsened by global heating, which dry up essential reservoirs and reduce the canal’s capacity.

As a result of severe drought in late 2023, only 22 ships crossed the canal each day instead of the usual 36, forcing ships to queue for weeks or pay as much as $4m (£3.2m) to jump ahead. Transits fell by nearly a third in the year to this September.

The canal authority has allowed rising numbers of ships to use the canal over 2024, easing congestion, but will increase charges and introduce some additional fees on 1 January 2025. Panama’s president, José Raúl Mulino, said the canal’s transit fees were not inflated.
