Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
Putin is where he is for a reason. He took care of major oppoosition press. Nobody can read Youtube there now. There is no majority to rebel at this point. And I suspect that removing Putin would end up with some guy whos seems "reasonable" but turns into Putin again in 20 years.

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
There seems to be an accent to Russian vs Ukrainian. Man is Ukrainian MP but seems unable to speak Ukrainian

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
I was not aware of the multiple Northern wars:
Depending upon what date is chosen for the starting point, the Northern Wars comprise:
The Russo-Swedish War (1554–1557), "First Northern War" according to Arvo Viljanti[2]
The Livonian War (1558–1583), "First Northern War" according to Klaus Zernack[2]
The Northern Seven Years' War (1563–1570), "First Northern War" according to some Polish historians[2]
The Russo-Swedish War (1590–1595)
The Russo-Polish or Thirteen Years' War (1654–1667), "First Northern War" according to some Russian historians[2]
The Second Northern War (1655–1660), "First Northern War" according to traditional Anglo-Saxon, German, Russian and Scandinavian historiography, in Poland known as Swedish Deluge[2]
The Scanian War (1674–1679), also called "Swedish-Brandenburgian War" by German historians
The Great Northern War (1700–1721), also "Third Northern War"[2] or "Second Northern War"[3]

It's been a while, for sure. Two forums ago, I'd say. As if there isn't enough pointlessly wasted time in my day already.

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
There will be nothing left of Mariupol. Putin is dragging out war to "test" Nato.
Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
Isn't he just going until he gets that hole in Mariupol secured?
Why would it be longer after that?

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
I don't know.
I meant that, if the Russians reach their stated objective, 'IT' (war?) should stop.
So the question, why would it be longer?
Obviously, one cannot trust the Russian stated objective as being honest. The 'hole' (or 'the 404') is just a rumour, but if it does go on behind the stated objective, what excuse would Poutine give then?
The only news I trust, is that Mr. Khortov reports a run-commute past Rybalsky Island (in Kyiv). His speed looked DAMNED fast to me (maybe not to him) and I am trusting that he reported that run. I don't know Mr. Khortov at all, and wouldn't intrude on his privacy, so I'll accept his report.

It's VERY scant news, but I think it's good news.
I also read a fairish amount of propaganda from both sides (on telegram and other platforms), but trust that a lot less than the run-story.

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
Will it stop if Putin finds another Hunter Biden laptop? The Nazis have it!
Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
In the video where he's chatting with the half-naked chick, he says that he has lost 3, and thinks Russian gangsters have one.
I don't see why Azov/Nazi's wouldn't have one. Everyone else seems to.
In other news, Елена has posted a run with no map. Must be a treadmill or indoor track run. She previously posted selfies with artillery in the background. Good to see her still getting after it.

Re: Russia invades Ukraine again?
Is it common knowledge, what the coloured armbands represent?
The suggestion I have heard (not believed yet - fog of war) is that white armbands show support for Russia, with yellow and/or blue being support for Ukraine.

When opposing sides cannot be distinguished by the weapons they use, the camouflage gear they wear and frequently speak the same language, they need to agree on some distinguishing feature so they know whom they are shooting at.
White - Russian Main army
Silver (duct tape) - Chechens
Red - LPR/DPR (mostly units from Russia posing as separatists)
Yellow - Ukraine Volunteers
Blue - Ukraine Formal soldiers
