JFK Junior does not think food has enough E-coli

E-coli is a common bacterium. Its amounts are monitored routinely. The new Drug Czar to be appointed by Donald Trump thinks we are not getting enough E-coli in our food.


He wants the minimum level to be "50" of "whatever they use to measure it." It is often expressed as colony forming units per gram, cfu7g.

"Ok, those. We lived with well over 100 when we were cave men."

We probably had less E-coli when we were cavemen, we have to note. If we caught a fish, we fried it and ate it. Currently fish with cfu/g are rejected.

"Once we get used to the minimal 50, I am going to raise it to 150."

Yes, they even write books & newspaper articles, make YouTube documentaries, and give speeches, to convince 'independent thinkers' that not thinking the same as them is a bad idea.

Megan McArdle seems to overlook the fact that at least some of the Republican distrust of the media isn't the result of anything the media actually did wrong. It's directly attributable to Donald Trump's attacking the media as "the enemy of the people" and to his and his allies' characterization of much legitimate reporting as "fake news."

So, now that Donald Trump has been re-elected for a second term, how are his voters going to judge whether his second term is a success? "Daily Beast" writer Michael Ian Black posted this column on that issue. Now I will alert you that this isn't serious political reporting and Black has his tongue firmly in cheek but it is entertaining. The headline reads, "To All Trump Voters: How Will You Measure His Success?"
