On October 18, the officers of Fusion GPS, which was hired by the DNC and Clinton, pled the 5th amendment to avoid testifying about their activities - so, apparently what they would say would tend to incriminate them in unlawful activity.

No, but the DNC commissioned the report, therefore it IS bogus, because commissioning a report always invalidates its findings.

No, however, if the Republicans commissioned a similarly scurrilous, and unverified, report, which was then used to influence the FBI's investigative actions against a Democratic candidate, people would rightly be a tad inquisitive about the entire situation.

I remember him being a Republican, but he didn't strike me as being quite that... um... I'm going to say, kooky? Demented? Deranged? Unhinged? Disturbed? Of unsound mind? Mad as a hatter? His story is very similar to Skinny Puppy's. It started out with a hysterical, irrational hatred towards Hillary Clinton and college kids so he voted for the guy who he believed would shake things up. He genuinely thought Trump's antics were just a ruse to get votes and laughably believed Trump was liberal than most Dems and that he was a non-Christian. He was stupid and gullible enough to think that there was really a great man behind the act.

Then as Trump turned into the most incompetent and stupid President the US is ever likely to see, instead of taking the noble route and admitting he was wrong, he doubled-down on his bad purchase. Instead off brushing off his antics as an act, he had no where else to go but defend Trump and his kakistocracy.

My support for Trump started from (a) not supporting Trump because I did not view him as a serious candidate and I did not think it a good precedent to set, but (b) finding the field of Republican candidates repugnant, particularly the front runners, Ted Cruz and Maro Rubio, among others. A field of folks I would be loathe to have in the white house, and (c) I'm not a socialist, so I do not and cannot support Bernie Sanders, who is an avowed socialist (not a "Nordic style social welfare state democrat" - he's a socialist -- in his own words and deeds), and (d) Hillary Clinton would be a far worse president, in my opinion, than Donald Trump, in my view.

My view on the 2016 never had anything to do with "college kids" -- and I have no generalized view of college kids. Many college kids are great. Many aren't. The only college kids I have a problem with are the progressive SJW types and antifa douchebag radicals.

Trump has, in fact, shaken things up. I never thought Trump's "antics" were a ruse. What I thought was that Trump's antics were calculated and purposeful, and not the ramblings of someone who doesn't know what he's doing.
